The dual feeder is designed to fit under the regular telescopic top cover and we have tested it with a few telescopic covers from different vendors we've seen in conventions. However it should be noted that different manufacturers may have different tolerances which may result in tight fit or some shaving of the top covers from inside. It should also be noted that this top feeder sits on top of the hive body, and the top cover will only be covering the feeder. Used top covers, especially if they are warped may have issues properly fitting.

Great for feeding patties and fondant

I bought dual feeders to put on two new hives I am establishing from nucs and am feeding pollen patties to so they will build up quickly.
The inner chamber works amazingly and I love that it provides more direst access to the patties right above the center frames.
It looks like it will work perfectly for winter fondant feeding as well.

Big Improvement

I had the two piece feeder which I liked very much over any previous solution however, I noticed that I always had to clear dead bees from the syrup side which was very disappointing. It appears this may have solved the problem. I really like that the hive bees are not exposed when adding feed. The "girls" seem to like covering the little vent slots but they can be cleared. Give it a try! Glad I did!

Amazing Feeder

I would not have thought that a new feeder would make that much difference, but it really does. The bees are able to get to far more sugar water (bee food), so they are going through it far faster and the hives are growing faster than they have in the past. And the central area being clear means I can get visual update on them without further disturbing them - nice touch, and yes, I will use that for feeding in the near future as well.

This feeder is one of my favorites

I really like the solid top cover compared to the two half feeders plus you can use the middle to put sugar bricks or pollen patties. I feel like they go well on my premier wood hives as well.

WOW!

This is a great addition to the Apimaye line! I've been replacing my wooden hives with complete Apimaye systems since 2018, and this is a really convenient option. I hope the two other feeder designs are never eliminated because all three designs have a good purpose. It's a new design, and I'm currently giving it a comparison trial run in my apiaries, but it is high quality and offers some really nice labor-saving options in feeding the girls.
